Africa-Press – Angola. Sonangol’s Gas and Renewable Energy Business Unit (UNGER) declared, Wednesday, the “absolute” availability of gas for normal supply to the national market.
In a press release, UNGER reacts to a false message circulated on social media, which “advises” families to have full reserve gas cylinders, as there are supposed to be some constraints in the supply of the product in the last week of the month of March. July and early August, due to alleged maintenance at the Luanda Refinery facility.
According to UNGER, its systems, both of production and distribution, are in full operation throughout the country and without any indicator or perspective of change in the near future.
The company’s management reiterates the appeal to citizens to purchase gas in the usual way, from official resellers, and not to give importance to rumors circulating on social media, most likely with the aim of generating speculation in the market.
