Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Social Action, Family and Women’s Promotion (Masfamu) and Fundação Brilhante signed, yesterday, in Luanda, a memorandum of understanding, in order to guarantee greater protection for people in situations of vulnerability.
The minister of Social Action, Family and Promotion of Women, Faustina Alves, who was speaking during the meeting, said that the agreement foresees the union of efforts to pursue a common objective, to allow the development of actions at the level of the communities in favor of of women, children and the empowerment of families in need.
Therefore, the minister believes that the partnership with Fundação Brilhante will allow the development of actions at the community level, guaranteeing support to the target group, mainly children and women in rural areas, people with disabilities, to give substance to the materialization of the productive inclusion projects.
The director-general of Fundação Brilhante, Bruno Agostinho, assured that the institution he directs, within the scope of its social action, will combine efforts so that these projects turn into concrete actions.
The official stressed that the Foundation will, together with the ministry, guide, direct, subsidize and develop the programmed actions of social, environmental and other responsibility with a view to improving the quality of life of the target population.
Bruno Agostinho also said that the group’s focus is on training to develop the self-sustainability of families and communities to generate income.
The director-general of Fundação Brilhante listed training in terms of preventing and combating forms of violence against women, girls and children, as well as entrepreneurship and self-sustainability as keys to changing lives and social conditions.
