Africa-Press – Angola. CASA-CE publicly presents its electoral manifesto and government program only on July 9, during a mass political rally to be held in Luanda, according to a note from the coalition sent.

The CASA-CE government program, to be implemented in the five-year period 2022-2027, in case of victory in the general elections of 24 August, should be presented last Saturday, but this did not happen, due to the need to enrich it.

The document, which has as its motto “home, work and fair salary”, was finally approved, on Wednesday, by the Presidential College, the top body of CASA-CE.

The CASA-CE government program embodies a set of public policies that the coalition considers feasible, which, with their implementation, “will allow Angolans to face the present and the future with realism and more optimism, in the next five years” .

The document absorbs contributions from citizens, public and private institutions, provided during the process of public consultation and collection of contributions carried out by the coalition, throughout the national territory, in an initiative that CASA-CE considers to be unprecedented in the country.

The Presidential College of CASA-CE meets again today, to discuss and approve the coalition’s electoral manifesto, which is also publicly presented on the 9th.

With 16 parliamentary seats won in the 2017 general elections, CASA-CE is the third largest political force in Angola and has as its candidate for President of the Republic and Vice-President of the Republic, economist Manuel Fernandes and jurist Alexandre Sebastião André, respectively. Both are deputies in the expiring legislature, the latter being the leader of the coalition’s parliamentary group.

CASA-CE was the biggest political force to present the candidacy for the elections of the 24th of August, after the MPLA.
