Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, pays tribute to the figure of former President José Eduardo Santos, at Praça da República, adjacent to the António Agostinho Neto Memorial, on the new Luanda Marginal, with the opening from the condolence book.
Following this, the Sovereignty Bodies, Auxiliaries of the Holder of the Executive Power, Attorney General’s Office, Ombudsman’s Office, among other State institutions, will also pay tribute to José Eduardo dos Santos.
According to the spokesperson of the Multisectoral Commission for the Organization of the Funeral Ceremony of José Eduardo dos Santos, Marcy Lopes, from 2 pm the place will be open to the public, in order to allow those who “feel comfortable and interested” can honorably honor the former President of the Republic.
“It is a time of mourning for all of us. Therefore, we appeal to serenity of minds, civic behavior, compliance with the organizational rules that are in place to ensure that everything goes with order, tranquility and a sense of State”, highlighted Marcy Lopes.
He also recalled that, at the level of the other provinces, “places of honor” were opened with a book of condolences so that people can externalize messages in memory of José Eduardo dos Santos, who died, due to illness, last Friday. , aged 79, in Barcelona, in the Kingdom of Spain.
