The MPLA vice-president encouraged, in Ondjiva, Cunene, the resident population along the Cafu project, for the transfer of water from the Cunene river to the localities of Ombala yo Mungo and Ndombodola, in the municipality of Ombadja and Namacunde, to bet in family farming, in order to reduce food shortages.

Luísa Damião launched the challenge during the mass political act, in the municipality of Cuanhama, which was preceded by a march by hundreds of militants. On the occasion, she referred that the human frame demonstrates the strength that characterizes the people of Cunene, the belief and the full conviction in a significant victory of the MPLA in the elections of 24 August.

The vice president of the comrades’ party said that she received information about the creation of cooperatives, which are organized along the banks of the Cafu channel, which already produce vegetables.

“We are satisfied with the project to transfer water to several locations in Cunene province. Cunene has always achieved five zeros, so the party will continue to work on the organization’s basic structures, in the certainty that the province will, once again , give the victory to the MPLA”, he said.

Luísa Damião asked the party’s militants, friends and sympathizers to vote for the MPLA and its candidate, in order to continue to develop the country. Thus, each militant must mobilize eight citizens to vote in favor of the party.

“There are 22 days left for the General Elections and it is time to work to achieve the recommended objectives and the militants in Cunene have the responsibility of mobilizing the population to vote in favor of the MPLA and its candidate João Lourenço”, he underlined.

The vice president said that the MPLA reaffirms its commitment to solving the desires and aspirations of the Angolan people inspired by Agostinho Neto’s maxim that “the most important thing is to solve the people’s problems”.

“We need to speed up the work of mobilizing and educating voters for the right vote and showing in the bulletin our position to make it easier for voters to cast their vote in number 8”, stated Luísa Damião. five years, are remarkable in several areas, from the construction of school infrastructures, health units, roads, investments in family agriculture. “The farm along the Cafu channel is proof of that”, he reaffirmed.

She added that economic growth, with all the strength of the Nation, is among the priorities of the MPLA candidate.

The government program 2022-2027 proposes to continue to consolidate the democratic rule of law, pursue reforms, fight corruption and impunity. He underlined that the promotion of balanced and harmonious development of the territory, the decentralization and deconcentration of Public Administration, municipalization and the implementation of local authorities are also a commitment of the MPLA.

According to Luísa Damião, the program also aims to reduce social inequalities, eradicating hunger and extreme poverty, promoting gender equality.

It concluded that the aim is to solve multidimensional challenges, raise the quality of life of populations, modernize and make infrastructure more efficient and preserve the environment, ensuring sustainable economic diversification led by the private sector.
