Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretaries of the MPLA in the provinces of Namibe and Cabinda intensified, on Monday (8), the actions aimed at winning votes from voters.

In Namibe, Archer Mangueira assured the electorate of the municipality of Tômbwa, that if he wins, the party will continue to preserve the title of main fishing center in the country that the locality has maintained over the years.

The guarantee was put forward in the mass political act of the MPLA electoral campaign, which aimed to continue the awareness-raising and vote-hunting work in the second most populous municipality in the province.

Archer Mangueira informed the voters of the fishing municipality that the ruling party plans to give more support to the industrial, semi-industrial and artisanal fishing sector and to allocate funding to the private sector for the modernization of the fleets and to strengthen mechanisms of inspection of the sea for the protection and conservation of marine resources.

He said that in the national governance plan, the province of Namibe will be covered by the drought management program, to be carried out under the guidance of President João Lourenço, with the aim of improving the supply of drinking water, for agriculture and the pasture.

In turn, in Cabinda, Marcos Alexandre Nhunga carried out, on Saturday, in the municipality of Cacongo, an intense pedagogical action to clarify the militants, sympathizers and friends of the “comrades” party to elucidate them in detail about the position of the MPLA in the ballot paper.

This time, the politician preferred to roll up his sleeves and equip himself with a small stick to give clarification sessions to militants, sympathizers, friends of the MPLA and the population about the party’s position on the ballot paper, contrary to the stance taken in previous rallies, in which he focused his speeches on the achievements made by the Government.

Faced with a considerable human frame that was present next to the football field adjacent to the Luvula school, in the village of Lândana (Cacongo), the first secretary of the MPLA, Marcos Nhunga, with the stick in his hand and with the couplet simulating a bulletin of voting in the air, he was showing to the voters the number that represents the MPLA, in which he asked them to vote on the 24th of August.

For the politician, the clarification of citizens about the procedures for handling the ballot “is important, because it will allow them to be well informed so that the vote is correctly deposited in the MPLA and its candidate”.

Marcos Nhunga did not fail to urge party militants in the municipality of Cacongo to engage in mobilization and awareness-raising actions for family members, colleagues, neighbors, friends and supporters to vote for the MPLA. He also asked the traditional authorities to make a greater effort to raise awareness among the population so as not to engage in acts of vandalism or confusion.
