Africa-Press – Angola. Yesterday, at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, from the Spanish company Indra, the National Electoral Commission received the last batch of sensitive material for the General Elections of 24 August, consisting of ballot boxes, ballot papers, among others.
The material – over 68 tons – was received by the president of the National Electoral Commission, Manuel Pereira da Silva, around 5:50 pm, under the testimony of the election commissioners. The last batch includes minutes, indelible ink, stamps and other means that will guarantee the functioning of the polling stations.
To the press, after all the reception and verification process, the CNE spokesman, Lucas Quilundo, said that with the arrival of the last batch, everything is ready for the voting exercise.

Once these steps have been completed, he stressed, it is only expected that on the 24th everyone will be in a good mood and calm with their Identity Card or Voter Card, to freely exercise their right to vote and finish the Elections in an orderly and peaceful way.
Lucas Quilundo highlighted that, for the first time in the framework of the organization of the General Elections, the National Electoral Commission has 14 days before the election for all the logistics, which he considered a significant step and an unequivocal sign for the effective realization of the elections. .
For the spokesperson, last Wednesday was very productive for the country in general and for the CNE in particular, as it was another step in the unstoppable march towards the realization of the 24 August Elections.
The process of receiving electoral logistical material, he recalled, was carried out over a long period of two months which involved four shipments by sea of complementary material for the General Elections, ten shipments by air and the latter, in a total of more than 68 tons of cargo, consisting of sensitive logistics.
