Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan community in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) highlights the commitment of the Angolan President, João Lourenço, in creating conditions for the exercise of voting in the diaspora, an exercise in which they are eager to participate, on the 24th of this month.
The information was provided, on Tuesday, in Kinshasa, by the secretary general of the Angolan Community in the Democratic Republic of Congo (CAC), Pedro Lucobico, during a fraternization meeting of the members.
For Pedro Lucobico, “citizens residing abroad were marginalized for several years”, but today they have the opportunity to participate in the election of the country’s leaders.
He justified the right to vote for Angolan citizens residing abroad with the fact that “we are one people and one nation”.
Angolan citizens in the DRC will exercise the right to vote in the cities of Kinshasa, Lumbumbashi and Matadi.
