Téte António: "Angola is concerned and committed to education"

Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, said this Friday in Luanda that Angola is concerned and committed to education as it constitutes an essential element for the country’s development at all levels.

The head of Angolan diplomacy was speaking during the presentation ceremony of the Report of the National Consultation in the Framework of the Summit on the Transformation of Education.

According to the minister, the country “has been looking to have well-educated citizens with the revolution of their skills supported by science, technology and innovation, thus following the spirit of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the United Nations’ Agenda 2030” .

Téte António also advanced that education is at the center of the development debate in Angola and in the Great Lakes region and that more than 75% of the population in this region is under 25 years of age, and that for the next decade, More than 10 million young people are expected to enter the job market.
