Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 3,752 list delegates from all political parties competing for the August 24 elections were accredited yesterday in Luena, according to the spokeswoman for the Provincial Electoral Commission in Moxico, Judith Mulau.

Speaking of the electoral process in the province, Judith Mulau assured that everything is going well. As for logistical material, the spokeswoman said that the CNE had already delivered the necessary equipment to the municipalities, especially in areas of difficult access, by air.

Materials such as polling stations, ballot boxes, ballot boxes, food and the personnel who will handle the equipment are already in the appropriate places, awaiting election day. In terms of Moxico, 9,388 delegates were registered, an equal number of substitutes and 3,752 polling stations were created.

Zaire Above Four Thousand

The 4,259 list delegates of the eight political parties and coalitions of parties in the province of Zaire, in charge of supervising the voting process in the 566 polling stations, were accredited, in Mbanza Kongo, in an act led by the president of the Provincial Electoral Commission, Pedro Dundo .

During the formal ceremony for handing over credentials, held in the CPE’s Scrutiny Room, Pedro Dundo considered the act an important step towards the success of the election, insofar as it will allow political parties and coalitions of parties to be present on the day “D” in all polling stations, mapped in the region.

Despite the accreditation process having reached 94.2%, corresponding to 4,259 delegates on the list, out of the 4,528 expected to be accredited, Pedro Dundo considers the result good, recalling that the polling station is the basic organ of the CNE structure, through the which the voting citizen carries out the tasks of scrutinizing and tabulating the results.

The deputy provincial secretary of UNITA in Zaire, António Calandula Bandua, underlined that the delivery of the credentials symbolizes another mission accomplished, so the work of checking possible anomalies and the distribution of the credentials follows.

In turn, the secretary for Political, Economic, Social and State Reform of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Zaire, José Luís Amélia, said that the action constituted the fulfillment of yet another step, insofar as the delegates on the list will represent each party in the polling stations, with the mission of supervising the voting process on 24 August.
