The provincial commander of the National Police, in Benguela, Aristófanes dos Santos, highlighted, this Monday, the level of readiness and discipline of the personnel of the third territorial unit of the Rapid Intervention Police (PIR), aiming at strengthening the guarantee of the General Elections. of tomorrow.
According to the official, who was speaking at a parade meeting with the PIR personnel, on the eve of yet another historic event, the PIR, as a reserve force that acts at the third level of police intervention, must be properly disciplined.
He mentioned that, despite being ready from an organizational point of view, to respond to the wishes of the population, the PIR, in a specific way, must continue to maintain firmness to deal with the various serious situations that try to change public order and tranquility.
On the same occasion, Aristófanes dos Santos delivered four vehicles to that unit, to increase the level and operational capacity of the agents, in the face of the day-to-day challenges in the communities.
