Africa-Press – Angola. The number one of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), Hélder Pitta Gróz, appealed, Wednesday (24), in Luanda, to the population to wait for the publication of the electoral results with tranquility and to return to their day-to-day work day.

Hélder Pitta Gróz, who was speaking to the press after exercising his right to vote at polling station number 3, at 8:30 am, at school 3024, Bairro Azul, revealed that the process was fast and efficient, in two minutes it was dispatched.

“We have to get used to the fact that this act is part of our life and that it will always be that way. Therefore, we must convince ourselves that it is an easy and simple process”, he added, stressing the need for people to end the feeling of insecurity whenever general elections are held in the country.

The Jornal de Angola reporting team found an atmosphere of calm and serenity in the polling station at school 3,024, where people, with complete tranquility, arrived, consulted the electoral roll and finally exercised their right to vote.

It was all very well organised. Members and president of the polling station, as well as the list delegates, before 7:00 am, had all the electoral logistics in readiness. At 7:00 am, voters began voting.

Within the framework of the law, the personnel of the National Police also followed the dynamics of the work of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), the body responsible for preparing and holding the General Elections in the country.

Teresa Lopes, 60, voted in the assembly installed at school 3,024 and told the Jornal de Angola report that it is with great satisfaction that she exercised her right of citizenship, voting with complete peace of mind for the President of the Republic, the Vice-President and in the 220 deputies to the National Assembly for a term of five years.

Whoever is entrusted with the right to direct the country’s destinies, Teresa Lopes hopes to do so with transparency, zeal and always thinking about the well-being of the population.

With indelible ink stamped on his right finger, after voting, Marcos António, 35, stressed, in turn, that whoever governs the country in the next five years must be closer to the people and more attentive to their problems. And make Angola a better nation for all Angolans.
