Africa-Press – Angola. Rosa Soares is the “Writer of the Month”, a section dedicated to literature, promoted by the Portuguese Cultural Center (Camões) in Luanda. The tribute takes place on Tuesday, at 5 pm, in the Pepetela auditorium.
According to the honoree of the month of August, the art of writing is something she does with a lot of love and satisfaction, as she writes to share the feeling she has for writing and to use her ideas to celebrate life and, on the one hand, to encourage youth literature.
“I was delighted when I received the invitation to be the writer of the month of August, a sign that my books are being very well appreciated and recognized”, said Rosa Soares.
Rosa Maria Andrade was born in the province of Bié and grew up in Luanda. From an early age, she always showed an inclination towards the arts. At the age of 17, Rosa Soares published her first book, a soap opera entitled “A Different Version of Life”, which was presented to the Angolan public in November 2013 and the first edition sold out in less than three months.
