Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of State and Chief of Civil Service of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, considered, this Monday, the need to “continue to work so that the school is increasingly a safe, socializing space, promoting inclusion and of gender equality”.

Adão de Almeida, who was speaking at the official opening of the Academic Year 2022-2023 that took place in the city of Caxito, province of Bengo, also underlined that the school must be a space where respect for difference is cultivated and that promotes sense of individual and collective responsibility.

“The recognition of the importance of education for the country is unquestionable, which is why the Executive has invested in all aspects”, said the Minister of State and head of the Civil House of the President of the Republic.

More than two million students

The academic year 2022/2023 will be attended by more than two million students from Pre-School, Primary and Secondary Education.

Classes in all public, co-funded and private Pre-School, Primary and Secondary Education institutions start this Tuesday, according to the National School Calendar for the academic year 2022/2023, and will be provided by more than 200 thousand teachers.
