Governor José Martins said that the two years, during which the peoples in the region were limited, gave rise to a new era, marked by the acquisition of foodstuffs, access to education and medical and medicinal assistance, according to the reality of areas shared by two or more countries.
The resumption of activities in the river channel, he stressed, provides the State with the opportunity to collect more revenue, which, in due course, will alleviate the suffering of the communities that inhabit the border area. In this regard, he recalled that the authorities always create the technical conditions to inhibit the clandestine crossing of citizens.
The Government of Cuando Cubango is devising new strategies for maximizing revenue, in order to complete the works on the Rivungo customs post, which have been paralyzed for more than four years, whose physical execution is 80 percent advanced, informed the ruler.
