Africa-Press – Angola. The celebration of World Handwashing Day, in Moxico, this Saturday, in Luena, brought together students and guardians to remember the importance of the date in the fight against certain epidemiological diseases.
The event, celebrated yesterday, under the motto “United for universal hand hygiene”, was attended by students from primary school 199.
The head of the Department of General Education, of the Provincial Education Office, in Moxico, highlighted, in the act, the importance of the practice in the protection, especially of minors, against pathologies.
Hermenegildo Simão said that this year’s motto makes everyone reflect on the crucial role of the act in fighting diseases. “Schools need to play an active role in disseminating information about the practice”, he appealed.
