Africa-Press – Angola. The Executive expects that, by the end of this year, another 735 projects linked to the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) will be inaugurated, in addition to the 856 infrastructures already implemented to date.
The announcement was made Saturday, in Luanda, by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in his message on the state of the Nation, at the opening of the solemn session of the Parliamentary Year 2022-2023.
According to the Head of State, more than 2,000 projects are being implemented, “which are giving more life to all the municipalities in the country”.
“PIIM has been conducted with great success and with it many infrastructures are being built from scratch, while others are being rehabilitated, such as roads, schools, hospitals and water and electricity distribution networks that will guarantee the availability of basic services to citizens and greater development of communities”, highlighted the Head of State.
In João Lourenço’s view, the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities has been for municipal administrations a true school for learning values, with regard to rigor in tax execution.
The Executive, underlined, welcomes the fact that the difference between the physical execution and the financial execution of the PIIM projects does not, as a rule, exceed 5%, which, in the context of the country’s public finances, constitutes a great evolution in the as far as the quality of public expenditure is concerned.
