Africa-Press – Angola. Angoalissar, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Angolan Institute for Cancer Control (IACC), has been promoting, since Monday, a campaign to raise awareness of the citizens of Luanda, which aims to warn about prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.
Called “Unidos pelo Rosa”, the campaign, which is being carried out for the fourth consecutive year, will last for two weeks, according to a note from the company sent.
During this period, about fifteen thousand (15,000) informative pamphlets will be distributed in all commercial establishments of Angoalissar in Luanda, along with information sessions to be provided by health professionals posted in those places, the note says.
“We hope with this campaign to raise the level of awareness about the disease and provide populations, especially women, with information that will allow them to make a quick diagnosis, thus contributing to the reduction of mortality from breast cancer”, said the director-general. from Angoalissar, Bravo Fadel,
Also within the scope of the “Unidos por Rosa” campaign, Angoalissar will donate about 60 basic food baskets to help families who remain at the Oncology Center, which will be delivered on October 27th.
