Africa-Press – Angola. The Escritaria Literary Festival, which takes place this week in Penafiel, with the posthumous tribute to Ana Luísa Amaral, will have replicas next year in Angola and Cape Verde, the mayor announced today.
According to Antonino Sousa, in March or April, the Angolan cities of Luanda, Huambo and Benguela will receive Escritaria, replicating the tribute that the Portuguese festival organized to the writer Pepetela, in 2018.
Speaking to the press, after the inauguration of a silhouette of Ana Luísa Amaral, with the presence of the author’s daughter, in a garden in the city, the mayor of Penafiel explained that the initiative in Angola will take place in January, as part of a partnership with the Piaget Institute and the Angolan Government.
