Africa-Press – Angola. The acting provincial secretary of UNITA in Cabinda, João Manuel, informed, in this city, that the party is seriously committed to the Local Authorities and the General Elections of 2027.
Speaking on Sunday at the second ordinary meeting of the UNITA Provincial Committee, at the Simulambuco Conference Center, to analyze and discuss aspects related to the party’s internal life, João Manuel said that “the time has come to create strategies for the 2027 elections. and the local authorities that still do not have a defined date”.
The also UNITA deputy for the constituency of the province of Cabinda reaffirmed the party’s continued commitment to youth, stressing that it will continue to pay full attention as it is a fringe “that cast a vote of confidence in UNITA in the August 24 general elections”.
He stressed that the youth, as they are the lever of UNITA, must always have a holistic vision for the future: “We will be closer to the people, in general, especially where we were not able to win in the General Elections of August 24th”, said the acting provincial secretary of the “black rooster”, for whom the strategy of proximity to the voter belongs to the central direction of the party.
To the ladies of the Angolan Women’s League (LIMA), the politician asked them to continue to play their role in society, fighting for emancipation, which will allow them to occupy prominent places in the party and in other spheres of society. In order to achieve this objective, the head of UNITA in Cabinda considered it “fundamental that women seriously invest in a political career, administration and academic training”.
Fertilizer Prices
UNITA’s provincial secretary in Huambo highlighted, in this city, that the reduction of fertilizer prices and massive distribution, by government institutions, is the right option for peasants to develop their activity in a calm and efficient way.
Albertina Navita Ngolo, who was speaking at the end of the 2nd Ordinary Meeting of the Provincial Committee of the party held Saturday, under the motto “UNITA – evaluate, persevere and grow to win”, said that the people of Huambo survive, mostly, from agriculture. It is important to review prices, not only for fertilizers, but also for other agricultural inputs to increase production and productivity, facilitating the diversification of the economy.
In the same context, he highlighted the need to rehabilitate secondary and tertiary roads in all municipalities in the province of Huambo to allow the mobility of citizens, goods and services and, through this, promote the development of rural communities.
The leader of the “black rooster” stressed that, given the rate of students outside the normal education system, it is necessary for the Provincial Government to expand the network of school infrastructures, in remote areas, as well as reinforce school meals for better academic achievement of children.
He recommended to the organs of law to discourage the acts of political intolerance that prevails in the province of Huambo, especially in some municipalities, as well as urged national reconciliation and the de-partisanship of State institutions, as it is an imperative national necessity and the deepening of the Democratic State and of Right.
During the meeting, the members of the UNITA Provincial Committee approved, among various documents, the political-administrative report from January to September of the current year, having reiterated the commitment to peace and the consolidation of democracy, for the well-being of the families, as well as recognized the performance and growth of its political organization in Huambo. At the end, she greeted all the women in allusion to the Pink October, dedicated to the fight against breast cancer.
Cohesion For Progress
The provincial secretary of UNITA in Uíge, Félix Simão Lucas, urged, in this city, the militants and sympathizers of the party to be strong in unity, cohesion, discipline, respect for differences and opinions, reinforcing the social base of the “black rooster” for the achievement of the objectives in the next electoral challenges, above all, the Local Authorities.
