Africa-Press – Angola. The city of Luanda was elected, this Thursday, in Lisbon, Portugal, vice-president of the Executive Committee of the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA).
According to a press release from the Government of the Province of Luanda, the second day of the work of the XXXVIII General Assembly of the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities was marked by the election of the governing bodies to the period 2022-2024.
In this context, the city of Luanda leaves the presidency of the General Assembly and becomes vice-presidency of the Executive Committee.
At the end of the meeting, the provincial governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, highlighted the gains of the election, with the possibility of training staff from the cities participating in UCCLA being a priority for his mandate.
From yestrday’s program, it appears that urban projects were also approved, to facilitate the planning of the municipalities’ territory.
