Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador, Albino Malungo, participated last Friday in the closing session of the “Bahrain Forum for Dialogue: East and West for Human Coexistence”, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The head of the Diplomatic Mission of Angola in the United Arab Emirates stood alongside religious leaders from around the world, notably Pope Francis, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Muḥammad Aḥmad al-Tayyeb, and the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew .
“The importance of the forum for dialogue between East and West, as well as its significance for human coexistence” were praised at the meeting, with the conclave calling for conflict resolution through dialogue and negotiation.
The forum called for an end “to all ongoing fighting on earth or, at the very least, for a prolonged truce, to rebuild bridges of dialogue, understanding, trust and to establish peace in the world.”
Ambassador Albino Malungo traveled to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Thursday, at the invitation of the Government of Bahrain, and returned this Saturday night to the United Arab Emirates.
