Africa-Press – Angola. Issues related to the strengthening of cooperation in the most diverse sectors, marked, this Sunday, the meeting between the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, and the Head of State of Kenya, William Rutu.

During the audience, which took place on the sidelines of COP27, President William Rutu expressed his intention to open his country to a more vibrant and fruitful cooperation with Angola capable of serving the interests of both peoples, to whom the two entities addressed reciprocal greetings.

Upon leaving the audience, Esperança da Costa stated that Angola and Kenya are in agreement in terms of supporting the position of the African Union, which intends, among other things, to pressure developed countries to assume the financial commitments signed in previous conferences of the parties.

It should be noted that the Vice-President of the Republic has been in Sharm el-Sheikh since Saturday, to participate in COP27, representing the Head of State, João Lourenço.

The Summit will take place in the tourist city of Sharm El Sheikh from the 6th to the 18th of the current month under the motto “together for implementation”.
