The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, recalled, Wednesday (9), in Benguela, that the role of the non-oil sector has been decisive for the exit from the recession in which the country found itself. due to the strong engagement of Angolan businessmen, whom he considered “entrepreneurs” and “entrepreneurs” of high value, in addition to being people capable of taking risks with the courage to move forward.

Manuel Nunes Júnior insisted on distinguishing local investors as “brave” Angolans and people who move forward with business projects, in order to make them profitable and efficient, even in an environment of strong competition. Therefore, he said, one has to take advantage of this great capital that is the entrepreneurial spirit.

On the occasion, he also recalled that the Executive will implement the grain production promotion plan “PLANAGRÃO”, which aims to increase grain production on a large scale and whose property is wheat, rice, soybean and corn crops with a focus on for the regions of Lunda Norte and Sul, Moxico and Cuando Cubango.The plan, he said, will promote grain production value chains, as well as promote and extend the dynamization of animal production.

As part of the promotion of livestock production and as a way of boosting the activity of the private business sector, we will develop a plan to be implemented over a period of three years and which will be supported by another line of financing of approximately US$300 million.

“With this, we want to significantly increase livestock production and contribute to the reduction of large imports that are still registered”, he said.

The programs are outlined and the funding sources are identified, assured and now, we just need to roll up our sleeves and move on, said the official.

In turn, the governor of Benguela, Luís Nunes, said that the new fishery marks another step towards the business dynamics that is intended in the field of capture, in Baia Farta.

As a result, assured the governor, Benguela will continue to rely on private initiatives in all areas of economic life in the region, as there are spaces and facilities for entrepreneurs who want to invest, contributing to the generation of numerous jobs in the province.
