Amnesty Bill debated in Parliament on the 24th

Africa-Press – Angola. The Amnesty Bill will be discussed and approved, in general, at the 2nd Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the National Assembly, scheduled for the 24th of this month.

The information was released this Thursday to the press by the spokesman of the National Assembly, Manuel Lopes Dembo, at the end of the Conference of Parliamentary Leaders, guided by the President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.

The Amnesty Law Proposal, discussed a few days ago at the Meeting of the Council of Ministers, headed by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, will benefit citizens who committed common or military crimes, between November 2015 and 11 November 2022, with penalties up to 10 years.

The diploma excludes, among others, intentional crimes such as violence, money laundering, embezzlement and trafficking in persons and arms.
