Country analyzes next meeting of the Joint Bilateral Commission with Russia

Africa-Press – Angola. The Republic of Angola and the Russian Federation analyzed, Monday (14th), in Luanda, matters related to the next meeting of the Joint Bilateral Commission, as well as the opening ceremony of the Launch Center of the Angolan Satellite Angosat-2, located in Funda, outskirts of the province of Luanda.

To this end, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, received, at the end of yesterday afternoon, the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Angola, Vladimir Tararov, with whom he also addressed issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that, in terms of multilateralism, the parties focused their attention on holding the Russia-Africa Summit, to take place from 27 to 28 July 2023, in Saint Petersburg.

On the other hand, as part of the program of Angola’s cultural week in Vietnam, the Angolan Embassy in that country celebrated, yesterday, in Hanoi, the 47th anniversary of National Independence.

The date coincides with the 47th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Angola and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in an event that was attended by the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, and the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Pham Quang Hieu.

The dean of the diplomatic corps, ambassadors, heads of international organizations accredited in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and members of the Angolan community also participated in the activity.
