The first national secretary of the JMPLA, Crispiniano dos Santos, reaffirmed that 60 years after its foundation, this youth organization of the MPLA continues firmly to tread the path of study, production and progress, as the greatest interpreter and faithful advocate of the aspirations and aspirations of young Angolans.
He stressed that since the beginning he has always been up to the challenge, keeping the flame of the supreme values of peace, freedom, social justice, equality, solidarity and patriotism burning, which is why he was chosen for this year’s festivities “JMPLA-Firm in the preservation of peace and development”.
Crispiniano dos Santos said that celebrating this date is a reason for joy, satisfaction and deep reflection on the courage and bravery of Commander Hoji ya Henda, who must continue to inspire all Angolan youth to be more patriotic, supportive and voluntary, so that these 60 years of existence bring more responsibility and love to others.
According to the first national secretary of the JMPLA, the party’s young people not only have enormous challenges that require participation in a practical and concrete way for the materialization of the MPLA Government program for the five-year period 2022/2027.
“We must continue to support President João Lourenço’s leadership in conducting the country’s destinies with all the strength that is required, taking into account the political, economic and social reforms that he has been undertaking to solve the people’s problems”, he defended.
Crispiniano dos Santos made it known that since the beginning of the commemorative days of the 60th anniversary of the founding of JMPLA, more than 1,500 young people have joined the organization, 200 of which in the province of Cuando Cubango and that it is expected that they will be exemplary militants, committed to Angola and with Angolans.
During his speech, Saturday, Crispiniano dos Santos asked all those present to stand up and pay a minute of silence to pay a well-deserved tribute to the musician Gelson Caio Manuel Mendes “Nagrelha”, for his physical passing and which leaves a great void in the Angolan musical space.
PIIM works
In turn, the first secretary of the MPLA in Cuando Cubango, José Martins, said that the choice of the province to host the central act of the JMPLA is of great honor and solemnity of the national dimension and the nobility of being presided over by the vice-president of the party, Luísa Damião.
José Martins assured that the MPLA and its social organizations in the nine municipalities of Cuando Cubango add up and follow up every day. He added that after waging the first fight to win the elections, the fight continues, both from a political perspective and from a socio-economic development perspective, the latter being for the search for solutions to the most pressing problems of the population and in particular of the youth.
He informed that the execution of the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) is an unequivocal reality and that it is in the eyes of all the inhabitants of Cuando Cubango, considering that until today the works are around 19 percent of financial execution and 35 percent of physical execution in the universe of 56 ongoing projects.
The governor announced that next month (December) the first technical-professional training school in the municipality of Cuangar will be inaugurated, within the scope of the PIIM. He added that the completion of the first phase of the Tucuve centrality with 294 apartments is also expected by the second quarter of 2023.
