Africa-Press – Angola. The general secretary of the PRS, Rui Malopa Miguel, called on the party’s militants to commit themselves more with a view to obtaining a greater number of followers, with a view to implementing the Federalism Project in 2027, in the event of an electoral victory.
Speaking on Friday at the central event commemorating the 32nd anniversary of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), marked on 18 November, he stressed that the creation of autarchy is imperative for national development and that it will contribute to the accountability of whoever is elected to govern certain territorial circumscriptions and put an end to the many evils that still plague the country, such as corruption.
Rui Miguel recalled that over the 32 years the PRS added many victories and became a brand in the Angolan political mosaic, despite some adventures and audacity. He called on the party’s youth and women’s organizations to increasingly study the essence of the PRS and continue to contribute to building democracy.
He referred that the party is united, cohesive and stronger with the reintegration of several militants who left the ranks of the party organization, facing the new challenges. He reaffirmed the fulfillment of the goals of the third national political force, as well as fighting for the tasks of reconstruction and development of the country in the most diverse aspects.
The PRS secretary-general also said that it was necessary for the population to continue to demand more from the ruling party regarding the electoral promises, with regard to improving basic social conditions for the population, with emphasis on the Education and Health sectors.
The politician underlined that the PRS proposes to build a fairer and more democratic society, relying on the strength of the Angolan youth. For Rui Miguel, the PRS is a political organization that proposes to work to renew the country by being a mass party that respects the people, their habits and customs.
The central act of the November 18 commemorations, which took place under the motto “PRS has the country to innovate, the nation to rebuild and the people to defend”, was marked by the exchange of messages from the youth and women’s organizations of the party. On the occasion, the national secretary of the women’s organization of the PRS, Beatriz Samuel, reaffirmed that the party has always opposed issues of regional asymmetries with a view to common well-being.
