The head of the UN Human Rights Council has been in the Angolan capital since Tuesday for a three-day visit, as part of the consultation process between Angola and the Human Rights Council (CDH).
During his stay in Luanda, Mahamane Cissé-Gouro will address thematic issues, namely, technical assistance and capacity development, training of members of the National Commission for the Elaboration of National Reports on Human Rights (CIERNDH), and support within the framework of the recommendations of the assessment of Angola in the III Universal Periodic Assessment (UPR) cycle in terms of human rights, according to a press release sent Online.
