Africa-Press – Angola. The rehabilitation of the Saurimo section to the commune of Sombo (Lunda Sul), is among the priorities of the provincial government for the year 2023, revealed this Wednesday, the governor, Daniel Neto.
The official, who was speaking at the year-end greetings ceremony, said that, in addition to the aforementioned route, there is also Cazage/Nhambaca, construction of metallic bridges, requalification of the municipal seats of Cacolo, Dala, Muconda and Saurimo.
Daniel Neto stated that with the support of the Ministry of Construction, sections will be built linking Biula/Cazage/Muconda, Muriege, Chiluange, Cassai Sul, Cacolo, Cucumbi, Xassengue, Alto Chicapa, Luma Cassai and Dala, as well as the conclusion of works on the National Roads number 180 and 230 and the bridge over the Muanguè‚s river.
In the field of housing, the Government plans to place infrastructures in spaces for self-directed construction, build residences for technicians in all municipal and communal headquarters.
He underlined that it will still be a priority for 2023 to improve the current state of the open-air municipal dump in Saurimo, as well as to build, in the coming years, solid waste treatment centers in all municipal seats.
Also included in the priorities, the construction of the fence of the Deolinda Rodrigues Airport and the replacement of the navigation system, as well as advocating and following up with the Ministry of Transport, the progress of the construction project of the railway line that will link the province to Benguela.
