Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Singapore, Daniel Rosa, highlighted the ongoing reforms in the country implemented by the Executive in the Fiscal, Monetary, Financial, Petroleum and Public Administration sectors.
“The Executive is working to build an economy that does not depend only on a single export product, oil”, said, Friday, the diplomat, during the virtual act of the celebrations of the 4th of February, in Singapore, in the Philippines. and in the other countries of jurisdiction of the Embassy.
He highlighted the construction of schools, hospitals, dams, railways, bridges, roads, improvement in the supply of drinking water and the distribution of electricity. These are visible signs, he continued, of the success of the measures implemented by the Executive: “We have to hope for better days”.
Among the country’s current challenges, he referred to the fight against hunger and poverty, the eradication of illiteracy, the creation of a more just society from a social point of view, as well as access to Education and Justice.
Daniel Rosa also highlighted access to healthcare, decent housing, increased national production, the fight against corruption, impunity and nepotism, along with the consolidation of a democratic, free and participatory society.
To young people, the ambassador appealed to patience: “Not everything is resolved in the blink of an eye. We need to be inspired by the courage and bravery of the heroes of the 4th of February, to continue to overcome the challenges of today and tomorrow”.
The central act of the 61st anniversary of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, in Singapore, the Philippines, and in other countries under the Embassy’s jurisdiction, was attended by politicians, diplomats, businessmen and the Angolan community.
