Africa-Press – Angola. The City of Luanda hosts, tomorrow, at the Hotel Intercontinental, the first International Conference on Renewable Energies.
Taking place under the motto “Sustainable Development Requires Efficient Strategies”, the conference aims to promote an interactive approach on clean development mechanisms and renewable energies, as well as encourage public power decision-makers and private managers to opt for the best development practices sustainable.
The opening session of the event will be chaired by the Minister of the Environment, Ana Paula de Carvalho, and will be attended by the Secretaries of State for the Environment, Abias Barbosa; for Oil and Gas, José Barroso; of Energy, António Belsa da Costa and the Secretary of State for Climate Action and Sustainable Development, Paula Coelho.
Several specialists from the environment, oil and gas sectors, both national and foreign, are also expected.
The conference is organized by Eco-Eficiência, a company incorporated under Angolan law, specializing in environmental consultancy with a view to assisting the decisions of public and private management bodies, with a view to integrating a planned and coordinated approach to environmental issues.
