Africa-Press – Angola. The attributions and competencies of the Ombudsman’s Office, its mission of defending citizens’ rights, freedoms and fundamental guarantees were addressed, this Monday, in Luanda, by the Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote with the provider of Justice.

The Minister of State received, in an audience, the Angolan ombudsman, Florbela Araújo, who presented the main concerns of citizens, with emphasis on cases of violation of the rights of children, women and the elderly, illegal occupation of land, among others.
Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, Florbela Araújo announced the institutional support of the Minister of State for the Social Area, in raising the awareness of the entities under her tutelage for the mission of defending the rights, freedoms and fundamental guarantees of citizens.

According to the provider, following the meeting, the Government intends to help the Provider in interacting with other institutions, so that the approved programs and policies are implemented.
The provider postulates the need for public administration bodies to be guided by good administration and greater cooperation.
