Africa-Press – Angola. The National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Safety (ANIESA) recorded, from 24 January to 7 February, 264 infractions of a different nature, which resulted in the sealing of 15 commercial establishments and nine seizures.

According to the balance sheet, of the 264 infractions, 195 were registered in Luanda Province, with greater emphasis, in Viana municipality with 129. The remaining 69 were registered in Lubango city, Huíla province.

As for the 15 sealed (closed) establishments in Luanda, there are the Cave Mil Sabores restaurant, for lack of a license, a certificate of qualifications in poor condition, the company El Barake Comércio Geral Importação and Alga Calçados, both for non-compliance with administrative instructions.

The Tsega company is also on the list of offenders for selling products unfit for human consumption in poor hygiene conditions in the chambers, including bacteria such as maminhos (Bichos).

Also in the area of ​​infringements, the team of inspectors from ANIESA, found on the ground the existence of expired products belonging to the companies Doce Quente e Bom, Belediar, Coca-Cola and Zara General Trading. According to the balance sheet document, the Coca-Cola company had several products whose expiry date had expired, while the Zara General Trading company sells more than 100 kilos of expired beans in the amount of 78,448 thousand kwanzas, which were destined for the sanctuary embankment, for its destruction.

In the case of the company Doce Quente e Bom, the inspection found the sale of various perishable and non-perishable products for making expired cakes, without commercial presentation and in an advanced state of deterioration. , of which 209 in the Commerce sector, 48 in the Health sector, 21 in the Tourism sector and 16 in the Industry sector. Prices of the main products of the basic food basket register a slight reduction in the market The products of the basic food basket have registered a significant drop in prices in recent months at the level of wholesale and retail establishments in the country, especially in the capital, Luanda.

In order to verify the veracity of the facts, Jornal de Angola went to several warehouses adjacent to the Congolese market, in the pedrinhas area, which houses numerous small and large establishments, especially those belonging to the Angoalissar.

In this establishment, for example, the price of a 25-kilogram bag of rice varies from 9,500 to 13,800 kwanzas, compared to the prices that the same products were sold in October and December of last year, when the maximum was 15,700 and a minimum of 12,500 kwanzas. The most expensive was the “Família” brand rice, which today varies between 11 and 12,500 kwanzas.

For example, at Angoalissar, the 25-kilogram bag of rice from the Uncle San brand, from Thailand, currently costs 10,350 kwanzas, compared to last year, which was around 14,000 kwanzas. Also in the same establishment, the 50-kilogram bag of sugar, branded “Copersucar” is being sold for 22,400 kwanzas, and the 50-kilomeal “Lenita” branded bombó fuba, priced at 9,500 kwanzas. In the case of 20 liter soybean oil (drum), it is counted at 18,500 and for 25 liters 23,010 kwanzas. Already the six-unit “Biba” brand milk, priced at 2,550 kwanzas, all at a more affordable price compared to previous years.
In neighboring warehouses, the same brand of rice “Uncle San” is being sold at a price of 10,200 kwanzas, even lower than in the first one and in others around 10,500 and 10,600 kwanzas.

The rice branded “Alimo” is being sold at a price of 10,500 and a minimum of 10,200 kwanzas. The 25 kg yellow cornmeal, branded “Império” is sold at a price of 13,900 and the white cornmeal costs 13,000 kwanzas. The same prices do not differ from the warehouses at Mercado da BCA and those located at Estalagem, in the municipality of Viana.

In order to have greater control over the Commercial sector, ANIESA continues with the national program of expansion of its activity, having officially taken to some local bodies, the strategy of articulating the exercise of the inspection activity, with the objective of improving the questions methodologies and authorize the resumption of inspection activities at local level.

The inspection organization, therefore, began to count on the presence of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PGR) in its travels, in order to speed up the processing of cases.
