Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan assistant referee, Ivanildo Lopes, was nominated for the first game of the CHAN’2023 semi-finals in football, between the teams of Algeria and Niger, scheduled for Tuesday, at the Miloud Hadefi stadium.
According to a note from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), this Monday, Ivanildo Lopes will be the first assistant, in a quartet led by the South African Abongile. The Gambian Abdul Aziz Jawo is the second assistant.
CAF appointed Mahmoodo Ali Ismail, from Sudan, as the fourth official, while the Tunisian Boussairi Boujlel will be the match commissioner.
The video referee team will be led by the Egyptian Essameldin Abdel.
The Angolan, remember, made his debut in this competition reserved for players who evolve in their respective countries, in the inaugural challenge between Algeria and Libya, for group A, with the triumph of the Algerians (1-0). He also intervened in the game Côte d`Ivoire-DRC (0-0), in group B.
The second clash of the semi-finals takes place at 8 pm between Senegal and Madagascar, at the Nelson Mandela stadium, in Algiers.
30-year-old Ivanildo Lopes, born in Luanda, has already participated in 25 international games since he ascended to the FIFA category in 2016.
