Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-governor of Cuanza Sul province for Infrastructure, Heitor Alfredo, yesterday urged managers and technicians from municipal administrations to correctly use the “Portal do Munícipe” and to respond in a timely manner to citizens’ requests for documents.
The “Portal do Munícipe” is a computer platform managed by municipal administrations that allows citizens to acquire documents electronically and collect revenue.
According to the official, who was speaking at the opening of a training event, with this initiative the participants will improve their knowledge about the licensing of activities in the sectors of commerce, industry, transport, energy and water, oil derivatives supply stations, concession of rights land ownership and artisanal fisheries.
In turn, the municipal administrator of Sumbe (Cuanza Sul) Wenga Franco, said, on the occasion, that the Portal do Munícipe adds values and skills to technicians in order to ensure efficient, quality work for the population and revenue collection.
The training is aimed at municipal administrators, municipal secretaries and technicians from municipal administrations and is being promoted jointly by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Territory Administration, within a period of 10 days.
The objective of the training action is to add value and skills that allow correct handling and better service to the public.
The Municipality Portal was launched in 2021 to monitor the entire process of collecting fees, licenses and fines, resulting from services that local administrations provide.
The municipality of Sumbe, in 2022, raised 134 million kwanzas.
