Africa-Press – Angola. A post for the issuance of Identity Card and Civil Registration, in addition to the Criminal Record, was inaugurated, Monday (07), at the Angolan Embassy in Italy, as part of the Government’s program for the massification of these services in the diaspora.
At the opening of the post, ambassador Fátima Jardim said that, with this act, Angolan citizens residing in Italy will now be able to obtain their Identity Card (BI) and other documents.
The entry into operation of the post, according to the Angolan diplomat in Italy, will also allow compatriots in the diaspora to vote in the general elections scheduled for this year.
The Angolan ambassador to the Holy See, Paulino Baptista, appealed to the resident community not to waste the opportunity, while those present, especially students, praised the initiative, with Father Venâncio Nunda being the first to renew the BI.
Pastor Adriano Elias, president of the Angolan Fraternity Association, highlighted that this “offer from the State” at this time of the pandemic should be encouraged so that everyone has updated documents.
Meanwhile, Inara Hossi, an employee of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, was satisfied with the task accomplished.
