Africa-Press – Angola. The coordinator of the Malanje resident deputies office, Ana da Purificação, expressed Monday, in this city, the concern of the citizens related to the improvement of the social sectors, with a view to providing the common well-being.

According to the parliamentarian, the office has received several petitions that point to the need, especially for improvements in the sectors of housing, energy, water, policing, among others.

The MPLA MP made these statements after an audience of the Malanje parliamentary group with the provincial governor, Marcos Nhunga, stressing that the concerns raised were accepted by the government official who guaranteed that he would do everything to resolve them in due time.

He added that many of the problems found will be taken to the plenary of the National Assembly for approval and discussion.

He highlighted having received information that the provincial government is working with the Ministry of Public Works, urbanism and housing, with a view to stopping many ravines that are growing in Malanje, with emphasis on the municipality of Marimba, whose circulation of people and goods is conditioned.

With regard to the roads in the Vila Matilde and Catepa neighborhoods, respectively, in the city of Malanje, Ana da Purificação said that the delays in the works are linked to difficulties of various kinds faced by the contractor, according to explanations given by the governor.

The meeting served to address various aspects linked to the socio-economic situation of the province, tending to provide the development of the province.

The delegation included MPs Mardanês Calunga and Carlos Xavier from UNITA.
