Africa-Press – Angola. Five hundred and 89 young people are attending since Monday, in Cunene, the training courses given in the centers and pavilions assigned to the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training.

The information was provided to press by the head of the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, Jackson Lomboleni, noting that compared to the period of 2022, there was an increase of 24 students.

He said that of the trainees, 207 were from the Ondjiva training centre, 128 from the Xangongo arts and crafts pavilion, 87 from Cuvelai, 84 from the Oifidi Integrated Center and 83 from the Namacunde pavilion.

He made it known that the trainees were enrolled in the specialties of carpentry, plumbing, accounting, cooking and pastry, low voltage electricity, auto electricity, IT, mechanics, civil construction, auto mechanics, metalwork, event decoration, among others.

Jackson Lombolini highlighted the importance of young people’s technical-professional training as it constitutes mechanisms for social integration and adherence to the job market.

“Technical-professional training provides a set of skills and knowledge that contribute to the insertion of young people in the labor market through entrepreneurship, as well as removing them from acts that do nothing to contribute to social coexistence”, he underlined.

INEFOP in Cunene has five training units under control, two centers in Ondjiva and Oifidi and three arts and crafts pavilions in Xangongo, Namacunde and Cuvelai.
