Africa-Press – Angola. Fifty children from the “Psicosocial” Reception Center, located in the Sapú neighbourhood, in the municipality of Talatona, in Luanda, benefited from various goods, a philanthropic action promoted by “Keve Mãos Solidárias”.
According to a press note sent Monday, in the solidarity action carried out last week, food, hygiene and cleaning products were offered and cultural moments were provided for the children’s enjoyment.
On the occasion, the director of Keve’s Human Resources Department, Ariana Silva, said that the event is part of the main objectives of the association and is part of its social responsibility programme.
“We have the perspective of carrying out monthly activities of the kind, for this we always try to identify places with less help, visibility and more needy, so that we can give our support and guarantee that other people can, through us, have the best”, he explained. Ariana Silva.
In turn, the Director of the Centre, António Caporteiro, said he was very satisfied with the initiative and appealed to other legal institutions so that they can follow the same example and thus help to give a different direction to the lives of people who need support.
Built in 2014, Sapú’s Psychosocial Shelter Center started operating in 2018, and currently has around 50 people, including abandoned children aged between 1 and 17 years old.
Located in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi, Sapú neighborhood, the Center provides psychosocial support to children and women victims of domestic violence.
