Africa-Press – Angola. Entrepreneurs from the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) registered in the Business Confederation (CE) are scheduled to hold, on the 16th, 17th and 18th of March, another edition of the EC Business Summit – CPLP, scheduled for Sao Tome and Principe.
After the activity in Malabo, in Equatorial Guinea, Portuguese-speaking entrepreneurs go to the island of S.Tomé to generate new business partnerships, already under the focus of taking advantage of the Continental Free Trade Area.
At the moment, according to a note from the organization to which Jornal de Angola had access, registrations are being made for the composition of the business delegations of each country, through the website of the Business Confederation, which in Angola has the businessman at the head. In the previous event, more than 250 companies exposed the potential with which each one can integrate the community market, in view of the more than 270 million consumers in nine member states, as well as a high margin for growth in partnerships and business opportunities.
According to the organization, this initiative aims to follow up on the actions developed by the EC CPLP, with the aim of boosting, developing and strengthening economic and business cooperation between the member countries of the community and associated observers, creating positive impacts on the sustainability of growth. socio-economic situation, covering all the countries of the community.
“We intend to demonstrate the enormous potential of São Tomé and Príncipe and its attractiveness in terms of foreign investment, meeting its lines of development, such as Tourism, Health, Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Processing, Innovation and Digital Transition, Training, Capacity Building and Energy”, reads a note.
In May of last year, the president of the Business Confederation of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CE-CPLP), Salimo Abdula, had asked, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, the member states to facilitate, in the shortest possible time, the project to create a bank and a court for the business class.
According to Salimo Abdula, the existence of a bank would accelerate and at the same time facilitate investment projects, generating lines of financing for different businesses.
Regarding the court, in the opinion of the president of the CPLP Business Confederation, it would be of great value in the defense of legal guarantees and mutual protection of investments, in addition to being able to attract investors from other parts to the Portuguese-speaking space.
