Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA in Huambo province, Adérito Chimuco, Tuesday, instructed the local secretariat of the JMPLA to favor actions to promote entrepreneurship, with a view to combating unemployment.
The party official was speaking during the VIII Ordinary Plenary Session of the Provincial Committee of the JMPLA in Huambo, held with the aim of taking stock of the actions carried out in the last quarter of 2022 and foreseeing others for the first three months of the current year.
Adérito Chimuco said that it was necessary for the JMPLA, as a youth force of the MPLA (the party in power in Angola), to look more at entrepreneurship, as an effective solution to respond to the challenges of promoting employability, in order to counteract the unemployment situation. juvenile.
According to the supporter, it is important to take greater advantage of the Angolan Government’s programs to encourage entrepreneurship, to encourage youth self-employment and the consequent development of Huambo province.
“For this reason, JMPLA should seek to encourage young people, as the largest social segment of the province’s population, to adhere to public funding programs, with a focus on creating self-employment initiatives, so as not to rely solely on the State”, he recommended.
On the occasion, Adérito Chimuco highlighted the JMPLA’s contribution to the development and achievement of the MPLA’s achievements throughout its history.
The VIII Ordinary Plenary Session of the Provincial Committee of the JMPLA of Huambo, also aimed at the readjustment of the accompanying groups to the municipal committees.
The Angolan Government has promoted various programs and projects to support entrepreneurship, with emphasis on the Program to Support Production, Diversification of Exports and Substitution of Imports (PRODESI), Program for Reconversion of the Informal Economy (PREI) and the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE).
