New cast of Cuanza Norte Businessmen Association sworn in

Africa-Press – Angola. The new governing bodies of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Cuanza Norte (AEKN), for the four-year period 2023/2027, chaired by Nádia Patrícia Júlio Laranjeira, took office this Saturday in Ndalatando.

Nádia Laranjeira, who replaces Gilberto Simão in office, was confirmed in the leadership of AEKN during a general meeting, held last December, in this city, with 25 votes in favor, against one of the outgoing president, who also ran for his succession.

The association has Gonçalves Aníbal and Rosa Cabitango as first and second vice presidents, Gaspar Faustino Domingos and Segredo Africano as first and second executive secretaries.

Domingos Barros, chairman of the Board of the General Assembly, António Francisco dos Santos, vice-chairman and Wilson Rocha, first secretary of this statutory body of the association, also took office.

García Alberto António, chairman, as well as Estêvão José Manuel and Branca João dos Santos, respectively, first and second members, took over the Audit Committee.

It also has Américo Romão as secretary for Industrial affairs, Alberto José Fragoso as secretary for Agricultural affairs, Maria Alberta João André as secretary for Hotel and Tourism affairs.

Also part of the new cast are António Gaspar as Secretary for Commercial Affairs, Mário Egas Proença as Secretary for Civil Construction Affairs and Manuel da Conceição Diogo as Treasurer.

Speaking during the inauguration of the new management bodies of the association, the president of the executive board of the association, Nádia Laranjeira, reiterated her willingness to contribute to the development of the business class.

To this end, he defended the need to invest in strengthening the technical capacities of entrepreneurs, through training.

It will also prioritize dialogue with the association’s partners, especially commercial banks, with a view to finding solutions to reduce barriers to access to finance.

The commitment to associativism, which he considered an effective way of organizing to solve the problems that afflict the business class and assert itself as the most valid interlocutor of the Government for the implementation of its economic and social programs, are also part of the priorities of the new cast of the association.

The representative of the Government of Cuanza Norte, Dálcia Pinto, witnessed the act, who asked the new management to be more sharp and work to develop the local business class.

The Association of Entrepreneurs of Cuanza Norte (AEKN) was founded on July 11, 2017 and brings together close to 50 entrepreneurs.

The act was marked by the absence of the president of the executive board of the outgoing association, Gilberto Simão, who disputes the results of the last one. DS general meeting.
