Africa-Press – Angola. Farmer Adão Fernando, 36 years old, is part of the group of 202 technicians recently trained in professional training centers in Bengo province, assigned to the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), which benefited, on Monday, from work kits to promote self-employment, within the scope of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE).

Born in the commune of Úcua, in the municipality of Dande, the young man, who attended the agriculture course at the Caxito Vocational Training Center, talks about the difficulties he faced to pay for transport during the nine months of training.

“It was not easy to finish this course. I had to make a big effort to always have money to pay for the taxi. But now I’m happy to have reached my goals. It was worth suffering a little”, said Adão Fernando, who bets on the production corn, sweet potato, banana, vegetables, cassava and pineapple.

Also benefiting from a self-employment kit was Rosa Francisco, 29, who this year was unable to get into a public university. She flunked the aptitude tests. So as not to keep her arms crossed, the young woman, born in the municipality of Dande, decided to attend a cutting and sewing course in the center of Caxito for four months.

“I’m very happy with this equipment. Now I’m going to open my space and start working to help support my family, in addition to employing other young people”, she said.

On Monday, at the opening of the INEFOP training cycle in Bengo, which took place in the lobby of the Caxito Vocational Training Center, Governor Mara Quiosa made the symbolic delivery of 202 professional kits to the administrators of the Dande municipalities (100) , Dembos (21), Pango Aluquém (21) and Nambuangongo (60), to be distributed to newly trained technicians, with a view to promoting self-employment.

“We are delivering 202 kits to an equal number of beneficiaries. But there will also be others who will also benefit from this small gesture. Be strong, resilient, because today you have the necessary tools in your hands, to be able to improve your living conditions. from now on, they can create jobs, because that is our main objective”, underlined the governor.

According to the head of INEFOP’s provincial services, Agnaldo Chumbo, PAPE is contributing to the reduction of unemployment and poverty, through entrepreneurship and technical-professional training. According to Agnaldo Chumbo, for this year, the Caxito training center alone has 1,207 candidates enrolled, with 932 already enrolled, 259 of which are female, a number that may increase in the coming days, as enrollment continues to take place.

The training cycle lasts between five to nine months. Last year, the province had 1,700 candidates enrolled in various technical-professional courses, of which 945 were enrolled, but only 786, of which 281 women, completed their training.
