Africa-Press – Angola. The First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, pointed out, this Tuesday, in Luanda, the Muhatu Energy Angola network as a potential creator of a center of excellence for women.
Ana Dias Lourenço was speaking at the launch ceremony of the Mentoring program of the “Muhatu Energy Angola” Network, which aims to work with experienced women in the oil sector to boost their career progression, as well as encourage new talents to join the specialty.
She said it was a commendable and admirable initiative, as it created career opportunities and encouraged the development of leadership among women in the oil industry.
The network, said the First Lady, was born to boost, train and give visibility to women in this sector.
“Unfortunately, we always need to remind the world that women are a fundamental piece to, together with men, make the world more productive, happy and more important”, he stressed.
Muhatu Energy Angola is an initiative of women working in the oil sector, to promote career opportunities and boost talent.
Officially created in March 2022, with the support of oil companies, it has 73 mentees and 45 mentors.
