Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and Malawi are studying new areas of interest to increase cooperation relations between the two States. This intention was expressed Wednesday by the Malawi ambassador to Zambia, Margaret Constance Kamoto, during a meeting with her Angolan counterpart, Azevedo Francisco, in Lusaka.
Margaret Kamoto said, quoted in a statement from the Angolan Embassy in Zambia, that her country is interested in cooperating in the areas of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Defense and Security, Tourism, among other sectors.
The will to establish solid diplomatic ties between the two countries was recently consummated through the appointment of ambassadors, who are awaiting formal accreditation.
Malawi is a country in southern Africa, with about 11 million inhabitants. It is a member of SADC and has an economy based on agriculture and tourism has emerged as an important source of revenue for the State.
