Africa-Press – Angola. A strategic program, which aims to stimulate different private entities in the province of Benguela, to leverage the process of diversifying the economy, began to be developed by the Provincial Government (GPB).
This initiative takes place in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), a body that has been working, since 10 February, in the city of Benguela, in coordination with the GPB, in the evaluation of the steps to be taken for the implementation from the program.
On Thursday, the UNDP delegation held its first meeting with the deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector, Lídia Amado, in which the mechanisms for selecting partners were evaluated, within a range of actions that should help in promoting the diversification of the local economy and employment for youth, essentially.
Today, the United Nations Development Program scheduled a meeting with the Industrial Association of Angola (AIA) and a visit to the Dom Bosco Center, assigned to the Catholic Church, on the outskirts of the city of Benguela (Zone B).
On the agenda, there is also a meeting with the direction of the Action for Rural and Environmental Development (ADRA) and with the Budget Management Committees of the municipalities of Lobito, Benguela Baía Farta.
