Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, reiterated Thursday, Angola’s commitment to an effective and lasting partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), aimed at achieving health for all.
João Lourenço expressed himself in a congratulatory note, where he expressed his joy at the 75th anniversary of the WHO, which is celebrated on Friday, April 7th.
“I congratulate the WHO on its 75th anniversary for the results achieved in international health security”, reads the document.
The President of the Republic thanked the technical support, solidarity and friendship that have been generously extended to the Angolan people.
The WHO is a specialized health agency, founded on April 7, 1948, and subordinate to the United Nations. It has its headquarters in the city of Geneva, Switzerland.
