Africa-Press – Angola. The Republic of Angola will export, from the beginning of 2024, green hydrogen to Germany, said this Tuesday, in Luanda, the Angolan diplomatic representative in the region, ambassador Balbina da Silva.

In an interview with the media, on the sidelines of the IX Consultative Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), he also said that it will allow catalyzing more revenue for the country.

However, the diplomat did not provide further details about the process, only highlighting the advantages of green hydrogen, as a product generated by renewable or low-carbon energy.

On the other hand, Balbina da Silva highlighted the fact that the country is committed to mass economic diplomacy.

In the same vein, the Angolan ambassador to the United States of America, Agostinho Van-Dúnem referred to the focus on exploring other sectors that can channel and mobilize foreign investment to the country.

He added that this involves promoting tourism through culture and the exchange of experiences.

Still with regard to the strategies of Angolan diplomacy, Agostinho Van-Dunem referred that the country will continue to be a promoter of peace and security, always highlighting the importance of dialogue.

The Consultative Council takes place under the motto “MIREX and Angolan diplomatic action in the current international context: challenges and perspectives” and aims to carry out a periodic evaluation of performance in the field of foreign policy and diplomacy.

The event, which ends on Thursday (the 13th), also aims to assess the degree of coordination between MIREX structures and government partners, plan activities for the current year, reinforce internal organization and analyze the main issues of international politics.

The last council was held in 2019, under the motto “Reform and training, a forward-looking vision”.
