Africa-Press – Angola. At least 120 citizens of the Paraíso neighborhood, in the municipality of Cacuaco, in Luanda, have already acquired an Identity Card (BI), as part of the free civil registration campaign, which started on Monday (10th), in the locality, I learned, Thursday.

The Paraíso neighborhood has more than 30,000 inhabitants, most of whom do not have an ID, according to the local administration.

According to the technician from the Ministry of Justice, Sandra Solange, the campaign, which ends on Friday, registers a great participation, since many inhabitants of the referred locality are acquiring the BI for the first time.

“We want to register a large number of citizens, but we are limited by the reduced technical staff on site”, he said.

In the locality, 70 motorcycle taxi drivers were registered, also in the same period, by officials of the Ministry of the Interior.

According to the technician from the Traffic and Mobility department, Carlos Silva, motorcycle taxi drivers need to be made more aware of the importance of legalizing their work environment, so that they can exercise their profession without any constraint.

The inhabitants of the Paraíso neighborhood are also benefiting from free consultations in various specialties.

The services were installed temporarily, as part of the verification visit by the Governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, which runs from Monday to Friday, in various works of social impact in the municipality of Cacuaco.
